Partner Organizations

M1 Mobility, hosted by the Pontiac Community Foundation, partners with
community organizations to provide transportation services for after
school programming, senior activities, workforce development, and more.
To date, M1 Mobility has provided more than 6,500 rides for Pontiac residents.

  • "Maya and Maria Church were two youth participants that came to PAL basketball for the first time in the summer of 2022. Having recently immigrated to the country from Morocco, they had limited family, support mechanisms and reliable transportation. If we hadn't had the opportunity to pilot with M1 Mobility during the summer, the sister pair would not have been able to participate in any activities outside of the school day. Additionally, one of the daughters experiences intense separation anxiety and M1 was kind enough to allow the parent to travel with the children on the bus. This allowed for a level of trust and comfort that traditional public transportation does not allow for."

At drop off, one evening, the dad hadn’t arrived home yet, the driver phone the father, who was a few blocks away, the driver told the dad not to worry that the kids were safe and he would wait for him."
